Who it’s for · Fintech startups

A stolen card can’t wait for Monday. Neither can your phone.

A customer spots a charge they didn’t make and calls the number in your app. Your whole team is on a bank partner call, and the customer starts to wonder if their money is safe. Phoneman answers, takes the details you need, and writes up every call.

Boundaries

It answers. You decide.

What it does
  • Stop a caller who starts reading out a card number, PIN or code, and tell them not to share it on the call
  • Warn a caller asked for a code or a transfer by someone using your name to reach you only through your app or a number they trust
  • Mark fraud and lost or stolen cards Urgent
  • Offer to connect a caller to you, if they agree, when you have call transfers turned on
What it won’t do
  • Verify identity or look up any account, balance or transaction
  • Say whether money will be refunded, recovered or arrive by a date
  • Freeze, unlock or change anything on an account
  • Give financial, tax or insurance advice, or accept legal papers by phone
It learns your answers · example
  1. A caller asks: “Can I deposit cash into my account?”
  2. You approve: “No. We don’t accept cash. Add money by bank transfer or direct deposit.”
  3. Next time: The next customer asking about cash deposits hears that, with no callback needed.

Transfers, with consent. A caller says their phone and card were stolen an hour ago. With call transfers on, Phoneman asks first, then rings your support lead; outside your transfer hours it takes a message marked Urgent.
