Who it’s for · Water and fire restoration companies

Crews out on a flood? The next claim still gets answered.

Your crews are pulling wet carpet at one house when a homeowner calls at 2am about sewage in the basement. If the call goes to voicemail, the next restoration company in their search gets the job. Phoneman answers, takes the details you need, and writes up every call.

Urgent calls first.

Urgent
  • Water or sewage coming into the living space now
  • Fire, smoke or a gas smell happening now, or a fire within the last day
  • A home or business open to the weather
Important
  • Damage that has stopped but is not cleaned up
  • A business that says it cannot open
Low
  • Whether you work with their insurer
  • Your hours and service area

Phoneman is not an emergency service. It marks urgent calls so you see them first.

Boundaries

It answers. You decide.

What it does
  • Tell a caller with a fire still burning, smoke, a gas smell or water near outlets to leave first, then call 911 or the gas utility
  • Ask whether water is still coming in, and mark it Urgent when it is
  • Note the claim number and adjuster details when the caller has them
  • Offer to connect a caller to you, if they agree, when you have call transfers turned on
What it won’t do
  • Say whether the house is safe to stay in, or whether mold is harmful
  • Explain how to shut off water or dry things out
  • Say whether insurance will cover the damage, or what to tell the adjuster
  • Quote a price or say a crew is on the way
It learns your answers · example
  1. A caller asks: “Do you do board-up after a fire?”
  2. You approve: “Yes, around the clock. We board up windows and doors the same night when we can.”
  3. Next time: The next caller after a fire hears that you board up, and their details reach you marked for a callback.

Transfers, with consent. An adjuster asks for you by name about starting on a claim. With call transfers on, Phoneman asks first, then rings your phone; outside your transfer hours it takes a message.

FAQ

Will it tell a homeowner whether their insurance covers the damage?

No. It notes whether a claim is open and any claim number they give, and leaves coverage to you and the adjuster.

Can it tell callers how to stop the water?

No. It does not give shut-off or drying instructions. It records whether the water is still coming in so you can call back first.

What if a caller says the house smells of gas?

It tells them to leave first and then, from somewhere safe, call 911 or the gas utility. It does not keep them on the line.

How do I hear about water coming in at 2 am?

A caller who says water is coming in now is marked Urgent, and your phone makes a sound with the address and what happened. Calls that can wait arrive silently.
